BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — Beginning Thursday, September 19, 2024, Brunswick County Schools will offer free, grab-and-go meals for children ages 18 and younger on weekdays until the district resumes normal operations.

Each meal will include lunch and breakfast for the following morning. You can pick up your child’s meal from 11:00 to 12:30 in the cafeteria at the following schools:

-North Brunswick High School

-South Brunswick High School

-Belville Primary School

-Primary school in Bolivia

-Union Elementary School

-Jessie Mae Monroe Elementary School

-West Brunswick High School

-Shallotte High School

-Lincoln Elementary School

-Primary school supplies

-Waccamaw School

Brunswick County schools are closed to students through the end of the week. While the district says school buildings sustained minimal damage from the storm, many roads in the county sustained significant damage and flooding remains a concern.

Brunswick County Schools will operate in asynchronous remote learning from September 23-27. Asynchronous remote learning is defined by a teacher and students in a classroom all engaging with course content at different times and from different locations.
