WINNABOW, N.C. (WECT) – Emergency crews and rescue workers responded to the scene of a traffic accident Wednesday morning involving a vehicle that went into a ditch at the intersection of Ocean Highway East and George II Highway.

According to fire officials, the serious nature of the injuries required the dispatch of two Brunswick County ambulances and the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office and State Highway Patrol to secure the scene.
