Twenty-four years after his previous professional ride as an apprentice at Moe, Jason Webb will return to the saddle as a professional at Warrnambool on Thursday afternoon.

Webb told Racing.com about his comeback story, which began with a stint riding picnics earlier this year and has seen him return to full-fledged competition.

When Webb decided to return to racing, he weighed 86 kg. He can now ride comfortably at 57 kg.

Webb’s first return as a professional jockey will be on the Jamie Edwards-trained Tori’s Dee, who is priced at 31/31 with Sportsbet for the final event of the race at Warrnambool.
