The Killers announce Australian tour to celebrate 20th anniversary of debut album Hot Fuss – Here’s how to get tickets to see the hitmakers of Mr Brightside

The Killers will return to Australia for a November/December tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut on the music scene.

The rock band, which was formed in 2001 by frontman Brandon Flowers and pianist Dave Keuning, topped the ARIA charts with their debut album Hot Fuss.

Now the Mr Brightside hitmakers are returning to Australia to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2004 album.

This will be the band’s first Australian performance since their 2022 debut album A Day On The Green, and they’ve got two truly unique sets in store.

The show will kick off in Townsville with The Killers performing their best song from the show, Rebel Diamonds, which will feature two more chart-topping hits.

However, Sydney and Melbourne will be able to enjoy a second exclusive concert – a full performance of Hot Fuss.

The Killers’ first Rebel Diamonds concert will take place in Townsville on Saturday 30th November at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

They will then fly to Sydney, where they will perform with Rebel Diamonds on Friday, December 6, and Hot Fuss at Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday, December 7.

Tickets for all shows go on sale on September 12 at 4pm local time, with Frontier members able to take advantage of an exclusive pre-sale on September 10 at 3pm local time.

The band premiered their new single Bright Lights last month at the sold-out Hot Fuss show in their hometown of Las Vegas to universal acclaim.

The Killers, consisting of Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Ronnie Vannucci Jr. and Mark Stoermer, announced in January that it would be an eight-show residency.

The chart-topping stars took the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in August and performed all of the songs from their 2004 album Hot Fuss.

“It’s good to be home. Join us four for 8 shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in August as we celebrate 20 years of Hot Fuss,” they wrote on social media.

Hot Fuss took the band to the top of the charts, with the album selling over seven million copies worldwide, reaching number seven on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart and number one in the UK.

The album produced four critical and commercially successful singles: “Mr. Brightside”, “Somebody Told Me”, “All These Things That I’ve Done” and “Smile Like You Mean It”.

The album and its first three singles earned five Grammy Award nominations.

The 2003 single “Mr Brightside” reached number 10 on the US and UK charts and became The Killers’ most successful single.
