Gendreau

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — County Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Cherie Gendreau has been promoted to branch manager in Fort Fairfield.

Gendreau, a native of the St. John Valley, earned an associate degree in business management from Independence University in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2017. She began her career at the Member Service Center of Five County Federal Credit Union in Bath. She then returned to the county to work at Acadia Federal Credit Union for four years while also serving as assistant restaurant manager at Northern Maine Brewing Company in Caribou.

After working as a claims adjuster at MMG and as a chief cashier at KeyBank, she joined The County Federal Credit Union as a real estate and loan processor. Gendreau left The County briefly to work as a restaurant manager at Evergreen Lanes and as a commercial loan processor at Katahdin Trust Company. When she returned to The County last fall, she joined the card department and became a certified IRA specialist.

“I want the city of Fort Fairfield to succeed, and I want the county to be at the forefront of that success,” Gendreau said. “I’m excited to come together with my fellow Fort Fairfield community members and provide them with the financial services and products they need while also providing education and support for their future.”
